We see these massive headlines flash across our screens every single day, but what do they actually mean for you and me? Let’s look past the slick media titles and talk about the real-world math.
When a single MQ-9 Reaper drone gets dropped, it means your tax dollars just vanished to pay for another $35 million piece of military hardware. And for what? To fuel an illegal war.
If that isn't staggering enough, this single loss pushes the total cost of taxpayer-funded equipment losses in this conflict to over $1 billion.
Let that number sink in. $1,000,000,000.
Billions of dollars pulled straight out of public funds to finance destruction abroad, while communities at home are left holding the bill. It is unfucking believable.
